The selected applicant will teach secondary classes in at least two of the following three subject areas: science, social studies and vocational education. T he selected applicant must:
hold a valid Alaska Teaching Certificate; and
meet the NCLB "highly qualified" requirements for at least two of the following three subject areas: Science, Social Studies and Industrial Arts; and
meet the requirements for positions partially or fully funded by NCLB Title grants.
"Highly qualified" status in multiple Science, Industrial Arts, and Social Studies content areas preferred. Selected applicant may be required to become "highly qualified" in specific content areas within three (3) years. Teacher housing may be available. Excellent health benefits are included.
