We are seeking an Outside Sales Representative to sell our home security solutions to residential customers. You will schedule in-home sales presentations with homeowners using a combination of company-provided leads and self-generated leads via your own prospecting and networking efforts. This is generally a one-call close type of sale, with most of your follow-up designed to build your network of referrals.

Prior sales experience is preferred, but not required. We will provide you with 90 days of comprehensive training with some of the best sales reps in the industry to ensure your success with us. In addition, you will receive excellent training pay during your ramp-up period. Our generous, uncapped commission structure will allow you to earn anywhere from $45,000 to $65,000 or more during your first year. Outside Sales Representative – Residential Security Consultant

Job Requirements

As an Outside Sales Representative, you must be a highly driven and motivated “hunter” type, with a strong work ethic, a high degree of integrity and an entrepreneurial and achievement-oriented attitude. You must also have strong time-management, organizational and prioritization abilities. It is also important that you display excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to quickly establish rapport and credibility with customers.

Specific qualifications for the Outside Sales Representative position include:
  • High School degree or equivalent; some college, preferred
  • Previous sales experience preferred, but we will train the right individual
  • Good sales skills, particularly with strong upselling and closing abilities
  • Ability to generate leads via prospecting and networking
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to consistently meet and exceed sales quotas
  • Willingness and ability to learn
  • Ability to work effectively both on an individual basis and as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • High energy personality and a fun and positive attitude
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and Saturdays
  • Passion for technology
  • Experience with CRM system such as SalesForce, a plus
  • Ability to pass criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
