DESCRIPTION

The Security Manager shall be responsible for the overall activities of the Security Department, and shall maintain the safety of all casino employees, guests, property and assets. The manager shall implement and maintain security and safety policies and procedures, and oversee all investigations regarding disturbances, complaints, and violations of all laws, Soboba Casino policies, and Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission regulations.

DUTIES

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide the highest quality customer service to all casino guests, employees, departments and vendors.
  • Develop and administer the departmental budget.
  • Develop annual goals and objectives.
  • Maintain communication with the Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Manage subordinate Security Shift Managers, and oversee the interviewing, hiring, and training of all Security Department employees.
  • Ensure the enforcement of all laws, Soboba Casino policies and procedures, Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission regulations, and internal controls.
  • Maintain master key control.
  • Supervise all investigations being performed; confirm accurate documentation and report maintenance.
  • Maintain correct issuance procedures of temporary badges for vendors and visitors.
  • Ensure the safe transportation of assets to and from the casino property.

  • Moderate to loud noise levels
  • Exposure to second hand smoke

QUALIFICATIONS

Certificates, licenses and registration

  • Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license
  • Negative results on all drug and alcohol tests
  • Clean and valid California Driver License
  • BSIS Security Guard Card or Proprietary Private Security Officer (PSO) License
Education and Qualifications

  • Associate degree in related field required; bachelor degree preferred
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum five years security or law enforcement experience
  • Minimum two years management experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to promote a positive and professional image
  • Casino experience preferred
Any education beyond the minimum requirement, as well as any experience and training that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary, shall be considered.
