Job Duties:
Responsibilities: Performing plant protection duties including: · Monitoring alarm/ access systems · Controlling access to facilities · Maintaining and preparing various reports · Providing guard tours of indoor and outside facilities · Performing initial investigations · Administering First Aid and CPR · Maintaining classified and non-classified storage systems · Responding to inquiries and requests from employees and/or visitors · This position will patrol multiple buildings; may walk 6+ miles each night.

Requirements: · High school degree or equivalent and a minimum of two years experience in security or related field or an associate’s degree in a relevant discipline. · Substantial experience in one or more of the following areas: integrated alarm, access control and communication systems, fire detection suppression equipment, emergency medical services, and locksmithing. · Ability to obtain necessary security clearance required by customers. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. · Ability to work shifts (i.e. nights, weekends, and holidays) in our Broomfield/ Boulder facilities. · This position will work either 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. with every other weekend off. · This position requires ability to gain DoD security clearance. Employment start date will be contingent on obtaining an interim clearance. · Must be willing to work day and night shift, as well as weekends and holidays.
