Successful candidates will have a genuine desire to care for the elderly and possess a valid/current FL license/certification.
Prior experience in a skilled and/or assisted nursing facility strongly preferred.
Must be able to read, write and speak English and perform job functions with attention to detail and accuracy.
Must be able to work as part of a team, have a positive attitude, and have an understanding of our residents needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. -Resident and staff supervision during daily rounds:
-Wound Care oversight
-Infection Control oversight
-Incident Report oversight
-Reviews all new admission charts
-Direct interaction with floor charge nurses to ensure best resident outcomes
-Assists nurses on the unit as needed
-Willingness to administer medications and provide resident treatments as needed
-Reports to the Director of Nursing any resident concerns, staff concerns, or facility concerns
-Interacts with the Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing
-Interacts with the physicians to ensure best resident outcomes
-Reviews new resident orders daily
-Counseling and education of nurses and CNAs
Performs other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Director of Nursing and/or Healthcare Administrator.
Directly supervises three groups of employees, RN's, LPN's, CNA's. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Ability and willingness to serve as on call resource rotation for nursing staff and performs duties as clinical staff nurse as needed.
Attend daily stand up meeting and other meetings as directed.
Attend every other week Standard of Care Meetings
Attend weekly Medicare Meetings
Attend educational seminars to keep updated on current and new practices
