Position Description

We are seeking an Senior Account Executive - Product Sales to be a key contributor to the growth and sustainment of Technica’s IT product solutions sales business unit. Primary responsibility is to produce revenue targets for a federally focused integrated solutions sales team through direct and indirect sales and selected strategic vendor partners. This Account Executive will target civilian federal agencies.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create annual sales plan to hit assigned and targeted objectives
  • Establish relationships with key federal decision makers, contracting officers, lead technical engineers, and bill-of-material creators
  • Drive product-focused solution sales with end user customers and through directed vendor partners
  • Gather business intelligence in assigned markets
  • Target new federal agencies for business growth both directly and through assigned partners
  • Evaluate competitive situations and recommend appropriate tactics
  • Grow directed vendor partner business by developing relationships with new partner field account managers
  • Manage existing vendor partner relationships to drive channel sales
  • Conduct technical demonstrations of networking and security products via the web
  • Manage assigned accounts and / or partners including hosting meetings with senior leaders
  • Submit quarterly reports summarizing performance to goal and current competitive activity
  • Obtain and maintain directed networking and security certifications in sales and pre-sales disciplines

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements
  • BS/BA or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years federally focused product sales and/or federally focused product logistics and acquisition with demonstrated successful track record
  • Strong knowledge of federal space and understanding of federal contracting guidelines and regulations
  • Knowledge of GSA STARS, and SEWP IV contracts is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Symantec Security solutions and products, and basic understanding of information assurance and continuous monitoring
  • Knowledge of server and storage products (e.g. Oracle, SGI, HDS) and basic understanding of data center operations
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and writing skills
  • Collaborative team player comfortable selling in a team-based environment and familiar with interacting with inside sales
  • Self-starter with proven high motivation skills
