As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for writing and successfully executing a business plan to achieve Company objectives within your assigned territory. Overnight travel is required.
This position reports to the Regional VP of Production and will handle the South, Florida territory which is a new territory for United Guaranty Corporation. Will work with Lenders (all levels of the Lender organization), Underwriters, Executive level decision makers, Production/Origination professionals as well as Processing and Servicing departments. Sr. Account Executive will work out of personal home office and vehicle.
*Develop and maintain call pattern for assigned accounts based on level of call required and business available.
*Increase market penetration. Minimum requirement to be at or above company market share.
*Create, build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of management including support/field personnel.
*Manage budgeted expense items, including travel and entertainment, training, marketing, promotional items and customer relations.
*Utilize and track interactions, sales calls, training, contacts and communications with AIG/UG customers through Salesforce.com or current sales call tracking system.
*Submit expense reports in a timely manner.
*Meet quarterly with field risk management to review and discuss business plan objectives for customers and prospects.
*Complete all reporting objectives established by AIG/United Guaranty.
*Perform such other duties as assigned by the RVP or SVP.
*Provide client training as a value added service.
*Actively promote Mortgage Insurance products, keeping lenders updated on rates, guidelines and procedures.
*Promote corporate initiatives.
*Collaborate with marketing and product development on client material that will promote AIG/UG and increase mortgage insurance business.
*Proactive assessment of market trends and ability to communicate and recommend special guideline exceptions to be considered for risk and insurance.
*Stay apprised of National lenders and major account programs and parameters. Make joint sales calls with Wholesale and Correspondent lenders to promote UG products and services.
*Participate in Internal Train the Trainer and other Training and Development Programs in order to bring credibility to program and to clearly and effectively present material.
*Maintain current competitive intelligence regarding programs, products, rates and guidelines and communicate to appropriate home office department.
*Demonstrate leadership roles in local and state trade organizations. Promote goodwill and positive company image within territory on behalf of AIG/UG.
The Ideal Candidate should have:
*Ability to speak English and Spanish (bi-lingual).
*Ability to build new market base (increased Lender base and new insurance written).
*Extensive knowledge of mortgage origination and mortgage insurance.
*Background in direct sales, particularly in the mortgage insurance industry.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Appropriate state licensing.
*Knowledge of core business objectives and structured transactions.
*Proficiency in new products and technology. Including the ability to train clients on AIG/UG trademarked mortgage insurance products and technological applications.
*Knowledge of mortgage fundamentals and basics of mortgage lending. The ability to communicate applications into real world situations.
*Bachelors Degree, preferably in a business related field, or equivalent work related experience preferred.
