DESCRIPTION

The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness and efficiency. This includes maintaining accounting records and general office duties.

DUTIES

Assist the Controller in preparing internal financial statements and support monthly close schedule and corresponding journal entries and supporting documentationCompile and analyze financial information and use this information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactionsAssist with the preparation of annual financial plan and forecasts as requiredReview and ensure accuracy of financial forecasting model (continual process improvements)Reviews, investigates and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reportsCollect appropriate data and prepare reports to file tax returns (sales/use)Cash management responsibilities involving all checking accounts including bank reconciliation, wire transfers and cash postingsAct as accounts payable/receivables support by paying vendors, making vendor calls, invoicing customers and making collection calls Ensure timely, accurate completion of certain special projects including financial analysis/variance analysisEnsure filing systems are maintained and up to datePerform balance sheet reconciliationsPerform monthly commission calculationsCredit card reconciliationEnsure proper controls are in place and followedOther duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Minimum of 3-4 years of accounting and financial analysis experienceExperience in financial analysis and/or budgeting and forecastingMust be highly proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office ProductsExperience with NetSuitePrior experience in billingPrior experience in sales/use taxMust be meticulous with details, organized and easily adaptable to a fast, ever-changing work Ability to work independently and to exercise initiative to define and resolve problems Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Must be able to work well within a team while maintaining a professional, respectful attitude and demeanor Strong customer service and documentation skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects in a busy, demanding environment Polished telephone and strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate reliable and predictable attendance About hc1.com: hc1.com, the world's leading healthcare cloud company, is experiencing triple digit annual percentage growth in the vast, rapidly growing healthcare market.
