Sr. Applications Scientist/Engineer – Northborough, MA
The Sr. Applications Scientist/Engineer is focused on technical customer support in the areas of DFF and TFF, including trials, protocol and report writing, site troubleshooting and consultation that is conducted in order to both secure new business and ensure the retention of long term business in the Life Sciences Biopharm group.
Customer site visits (trials, troubleshooting, consultation).
Reports and protocols writing per Pall standards.
In house trials to support Marketing and Applications R& D functions.
Technical training sessions, “Lunch and Learn” product training.
Customer site trials – DFF, TFF and SPTFF.
Customer site visits for POR, process troubleshooting.
In house trials to support Marketing and Applications R & D functions.
Customer visits for consultation.
Purchasing of equipment and samples.
BS Degree in Life Sciences (biology, microbiology, biochemistry) or Engineering (Chemical or Biotechnology preferred).
3+ years in a Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology GMP environment.
Experience in a bench or pilot scale trials in TFF and/or DFF process development and scale-up, Pharmaceutical manufacturing or process development.
Demonstrated experience using Word, Excel, Power Point (knowledge of Lotus Notes an asset).
Travel requirement: 60% primarily in the Boston vicinity with 10 – 20 overnight trips per year.
