The Senior Architect is responsible for realizing our foundational architecture initiatives by providing assessment, acquisition, proof of concepts, practices, standards and plans. This senior position is energized by new challenges, thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment, collaborates well in a team-oriented environment, and has the ability to lead in partnership with organizations tasked with establishing and applying the architecture. This individual will be expected to deliver solid technical work that represents leadership in the architecture discipline. You will be expected to embrace and drive change, as well as initiate innovation by seeking breakthroughs in business deliverables.

Responsibilities

Advance foundational programs supporting our Enterprise Technical Architecture

Develop and maintain execution/implementation views of Enterprise Technical Architecture

Participate in technology, vendor and product assessment and acquisition

Design and execute Proof of Concepts for candidate technologies to support architectural components of a reference architecture

Advising and consulting leadership on technology costs, benefits and implementation requirements.

Develop and manage roadmaps for capabilities, components and technologies.

Work with delivery teams to review business drivers and issues with application of technologies to influence continuous improvement of our reference architecture.

Develop enterprise policies, standards and practices governing the use of the reference architecture.

Collaborate in the development of implementation planning for the introduction of new technologies supporting the reference architecture.

Collaborate in the process of change management and adoption planning of architecture components.

Produce communication and training material to aide in the understanding of our foundational reference architecture.

Staying abreast of changes in vendor landscape effecting our reference architecture.

Instilling a culture of business outcomes, execution excellence and accountability.

Seeking and capitalizing on the opportunities to improve productivity, improving time-to-market, improving solutions quality, and improving cost effectiveness.

Improving processes to ensure alignment between the business strategies and application technology roadmap.

Anticipating barriers to change and creating opportunities to remove them.

Creating a culture which is based on knowledge sharing and learning from best practices.

Exhibiting high level of professional flexibility and volunteering innovative and new ideas.

Develops and maintains effective collaboration with other architects and business partners at all levels to advance the architectural standards and guidelines

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related discipline a plus.

5+ years of architecture experience in applications development in a complex, multi-platform distributed environment.

Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and understand the 'big picture'.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically and put forth ideas for innovation.

Experience with .NET architecture.

Experience with IBM architectural components (CICS, IMS, DB2, etc.)

Familiar with SalesForce, Azure and IBM SmartCloud.

Familiar with Architectural Frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman,

Exposure to layered solutions, SOA approach and designs, diverse technical configurations, multiple technologies and processing environments.

Strong exposure to architectural technologies like BPMS Familiarity with Mobile development, Cloud Computing and UI frameworks.

Strong consulting, communication and collaboration skills

Proven ability to bring architecture from strategy to execution

Strong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills

Able to communicate in a compelling way the benefits of enterprise architecture in delivering business value.
