This position is an integral and vital part of the support of the Product Development unit of Supply Chain Systems, focusing on supporting business initiatives through leveraged and innovative use of the PDM / PLM systems, Image Management Tools & other product development applications. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in both product development and merchandising business processes in a complex environment, retail soft goods operations highly preferred, as well as experience with any product development or product lifecycle management system supporting those operations. Proven experience and skills in project management and business analytics along with exemplary communication skills are expected. The candidate will engage as a part of the IT team with various merchandising business resources on all initiatives as we continue to advance the portfolio of our product development application suite to support a strong and growing global brand. The person in this position will be responsible for identifying new technologies and solutions to bring to the table in support of Product Development and Image Management for the Carter's enterprise. The candidate should also keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in leveraging technology for Product Development solutions. There will be a focus on Product Development and Image Management with additional support, as needed, for the following areas: Sourcing, Supply Chain, Forecasting, Operational Planning, Logistics, Customer Service, eCommerce, Sales, Distribution, Retail & Finance, Merchandising, Art, Design, Licensing, Creative and Brand Marketing
Coordination of project initiatives with the business as well as designated consultants, are an important aspect of this position
Product Development and Image Management Software Support and Problem Resolution
IT / Operations Projects Related to Product Development and Merchandising requirements
Congruent Collaboration with Business teams in Georgia, New York and Asia locations
Software Testing • Data Analysis • Systems Administration (Windows, Citrix, MAC OS, PDM and other Product Development Tools) Experience and Skills
5+ years Business/Systems Analysis experience • Bachelor’s Degree Required
Proven expertise in supply chain technology. Experience in product development / merchandising business processes, order management, allocation systems highly desirable
Familiarity with Product Development / Product Lifecycle Management Systems in the current market
Proven experience and skills in Project Management.
Demonstrated knowledge of the areas of application programming, database and system design
Superior Adobe Suite, Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills
Exemplary communication skills (written, presentation, meeting management, documentation)
Familiarity with DB management tools
Some travel between remote locations in Georgia, New York and/or Asia will be required
PLM applications knowledge is a plus
