Overview

The purpose of this position is to support Business Architecture strategy, planning and execution approach and application. The position drives a common Business Architecture framework for aligning capabilities to organizations, roles, processes, applications, systems and data flows. They contribute to the development of roadmaps working with both business and IT. In addition, they facilitate discussions across multiple organizations and provide guidance in the design of complex enterprise initiatives.

Responsibilities

Architecture Planning

Provides an enterprise-wide perspective within the United IT division.

Develops and maintains the centralized BA repository and artifacts.

Models the impact and identifies type and degree of change on current state business architecture.

Governs and applies business architecture common framework for large programs - and provides guidance to business and IT across multiple projects.

IT Delivery

Works independently with multiple projects to provide direction and alighn solution architectures to enterprise strategy & multi-year plan.

Participate in the design of business, information and technology architectures on the basis of cost, functionality and practicality.

Organizational Development

Maintain communities of practice surrounding business process analysis and Business Architecture.

Facilitates open communication and fact-based decision making.

Researches, identifies, and recommends industry best practices for solving business and technology problems.

Functions with autonomy and demonstrates influence.

Provide guidance to other enterprise and portfolio architects.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or Business or equivalent experience, education, or training required.

Master's degree preferred.

Experience

Two years applicable experience in business architecture or business process analysis required.

Experience in leading a team or coordinating work across functional teams required.

Proven expertise in business process design and/or modeling.

Awareness of industry best practices and research preferred.

Other

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with United's policies is required.

Attendance is required at work location.
