Performs administrative and secretarial support tasks for the Material Control and Accountability Group (MC&A).
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Knowledge of: procedures and forms for the procurement of nuclear materials, Argonne, DOE and DOT regulations regarding security, documentation and shipment/receipt of nuclear materials; office practices; department organization and distribution of responsibilities, data processing and document procedures. Skill in: the use of a personal computer and typewriter; data entry; organizing files and records, handling phone calls and establishing and maintaining effective work relationships. Candidate must have considerable working knowledge with Microsoft Office suite with emphasis on EXCEL and ACCESS forms and reports. Must have experience with ADOBE PRO to create PDF documents from multiple sources.
Also required is attention to detail and skills in: English grammar and usage; and oral and written communication.
With the requisite knowledge and skills, a new employee should be expected to perform satisfactorily in approximately one year.
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma and 4+ years of related work experience. Knowledge of: Procurement and Accounting policies and procedures is highly desirable. Must be computer literate
