Job Description:
To support our growth we seek a Senior Climate Adaptation Professional. This person will contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high quality products and services related to climate change impacts and adaptation strategies, typically working on multiple projects with multidisciplinary teams of staff. The position represents an opportunity to apply experience and scientific/industry knowledge in a variety of sectors and client circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:
Developing and leading work on climate change vulnerability assessments and adaptation strategies

Providing cutting-edge thought leadership in leveraging adaptation strategies in developing countries

Expanding the ICF domestic adaptation client base across city, state, and federal clients

Basic :
Master’s Degree in climatology, meteorology, environmental science, international relations, or other related physical or social science

10+ years of demonstrated experience working on climate change

5+ years of demonstrated experience managing projects

In-depth knowledge of climate science and adaptation strategies

Preferred Skills/Experience:
PhD in relevant discipline

Proficiency in quantitative analysis of climate information

Strong client relationships and contacts

Professional Skills:
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities

Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information

Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions

Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
