The Senior Clinical and Medical Records System
Analyst will be responsible for the implementation
activities related to UHS Surgery, Document and Imaging applications.
Including coordination of implementation planning, design, testing,
training, go-live, support and maintenance activities across Acute
Care division. At times the position will be responsible for hands on
application configuration and related testing. Post go-live the
position will assist in monitoring facility issues and will be
responsible for resolution of those issues. The position will also
coordinate work assignments between team members in order to meet
deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion.
Essential Job Duties
Researches and resolves implementation-related
Customer Support Center Tickets
Provide project management while adhering to
appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
Provide training to peers and customers as
Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS
staff to develop/modify system specifications.
Provides on call after hours support as
Performs Q/A on application functionality
Supervises development of test data, system
testing and documentation for all phases of the application
development life cycle
Perform other duties as assigned/required.
Five or more years of Clinical and or HIM
Information Systems experience in acute care, multi-facility setting.
Working knowledge of Clinical and or HIM
application design, development, implementation, enhancement, support
methods and practices.
Ability to work with end users to determined
software specifications, hardware requirements and process
Ability to create system documentation,
project plans, test scripts and education materials.
Working knowledge of project management
methodology, ITIL and IS standards, change control, quality and
system performance methods and metrics.
General familiarity of end user business
practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the
Experience supporting imaging of clinical and
financial documentation a preference.
Clinical and Application Knowledge Required,
Cerner Millennium Preferred, specific knowledge of Cerner Surginet,
Profile, RRD, CPDI and Powerchart is preferred.
Project Management experience preferred.
Requirement : BA degree is required.
Travel Requirements: Ability to travel 30 - 40%
domestically (depending on projects).
