Master's degree in a human services field with three years of professional human services experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional licensure (LCP, LCSW, or equivalent) is required. Applicants must have direct clinical experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed (SED) youth (ages 5 - 18 years) and families. Bilingual (English/Spanish) applicants strongly encouraged to apply. Good driving record required. Must not reflect a total accumulation of six or more negative points within the past three years or a major violation within the past four years. Pre-employment drug testing and FBI criminal background check required.


This position with the Child and Adolescent Services Team's (CAST) "Specialized" program provides primarily outpatient individual and family therapy services to children and families with mental health and behavioral challenges. The clinical model for services provided by this team involves an innovated treatment approach where licensed child/family therapist provides a mix of both individual and family therapy services and targeted case management services to their clients. While primarily office-based, some home and community visits are part of the treatment approach and allow the therapist much greater access to important treatment interventions with the child and family. Essential job functions include: assessment and diagnosis, individualized service planning, case management services, comprehensive services (FAPT team) linking, interagency consultations, medical records documentation, and ongoing individual and family therapy interventions. Applicants should be well versed in systems theory, family therapy interventions, and the assessment and treatment of traumatic stress and other common mental health conditions. Applicants with specialized training or experience with specific populations or treatment interventions (such as art play therapy, autism spectrum disorders, cognitive behavioral treatment, or trauma-informed care) are particularly encouraged to apply. This position does not provide intensive in-home therapy and does not include on-call responsibilities. Work schedule is 40 hours per week with some evening (after 5:00pm) hours required.
