Senior Compensation Analyst

Key functions of this role include:
Develop and implement compensation programs that align with the culture, values and compensation philosophy of Gordon Food Service (GFS) to assist management in compensating employees equitably to include base and incentive pay
Evaluate our current organizational pay practices and make recommendations for change
Creates position profiles and perform position analysis. Develop processes to ensure the proper classification of positions and levels of responsibility
Uses surveys and competitive assessments in market pricing to determine appropriate pay for positions
Advises management on compensation recommendations
Analyzes and interprets data and communicates to others
Acts as a consultant in the area of compensation
Communicates with staff, management, and senior management regarding organizational compensation issues
Educates staff and management on key compensation issues to ensure consistency with trends in compensation philosophy and practices
Researches special compensation programs or incentive systems to support the organization’s objectives
Participates in the development and administration of the performance review system to ensure compliance with salary administration guidelines
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agency standards and guidelines
Leads and coordinates the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of special projects
Core requirements needed for this position:
Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is preferred
CCP certification is not required, but preferred
5+ year’s previous professional level compensation experience in design development, implementation and administration
Technical expertise in plan designs, market analysis, pricing, salary planning and alternative designs and rewards
Hands on experience in working with executive compensation programs
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
Strong project management skills
Working knowledge of FLSA guidelines
Advance level of skill using Excel programs (v-lookups, macros, etc.)
