We are currently seeking a Senior Consultant for our District and School Improvement services who will develop and oversee the implementation of instructional coaching services, tools and resources. This position may be located out of one of our offices in either Naperville, IL; Chicago, IL or Washington, DC.

  • Develop and implement instructional coaching services, tools, and resources
  • Oversee and coach site-based instructional coaches at the school and district level
  • Assist clients in developing instructional coaching plans, processes, and monitoring tools
  • Manage small projects or parts of larger projects (tasks, timelines, outputs, budgets, team members, scope)
  • Serve as project team member for a variety of projects across portfolio/organization in area(s) of expertise, including developing products and services to support states, districts, and schools in their improvement (afterschool) efforts
  • Ensure that proper quality-assurance processes are followed
  • Serve as primary project-level client contact at state, agency, or district level, and cultivate and manage client relationship
  • Write reports, including supporting documentation of methods, findings, recommendations, or for other purposes
  • Conduct professional development or technical assistance at state, district, and school levels customized to meet client needs
  • Facilitate large- and small-group meetings
  • Write parts of proposals and/or grants
  • Participate in state and national conversations on education topics, focusing on areas of expertise or related to contract/grant events
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working as an instructional coach, participating in school improvement efforts, or other related program experiences
  • Experience in the design and delivery of professional development or technical assistance programs to support educational program quality
  • Ability to work with a variety of education stakeholders and audiences
  • Ability to work well both independently and on project teams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience using project management tools and processes
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Thorough knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software as well as competency navigating the Internet
  • Availability to travel locally and nationally
