The Candidate will efficiently and effectively advise members of the Company’s North American business unit, with particular emphasis on complex commercial transactions, and health care related transactions, including third-party payer reimbursement and government contracting, but will also support other commercial segments of the Company’s business.
The Candidate will interface with various members of the business unit directly and must have the confidence, judgment and ability to work independently and simultaneously on numerous matters under pressure, and must possess exceptional analytical, teamwork and communication skills, as well as a strong knowledge of government contracting subject matter.
Additionally, professional discretion and the ability to maintain information in the strictest confidence are critical.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with key functional areas and business leaders, including but not limited to:
Members of the North American sales and marketing teams;
Business leads for certain North American segments (e.g.; capital sales, service, architectural products and lift products);
Supply ,Surgical, Respiratory, QA/RA, government affairs, other members of the legal team
Negotiate and review a variety of commercial contracts generated by business partners.
Develop and oversee practices to address compliance with third-party payer contracts and other government contract obligations under prime contracts and subcontracts by Hill-Rom and its subcontractors.
Develop and deliver training programs, including as examples: Corporate-wide training on policies; Targeted trainings on procedures and new regulations.
Work closely with National Accounts Team and other groups responsible for administration of third party payer and government contracts.
Assist the Vice-President & AGC with other duties related to the North America business.

will work in the Company’s Chicago or Batesville, IN office; and
an energetic team player with a strong desire to maximize both individual and team effectiveness while meeting all deadlines.
Education / Experience
J.D. or similar from nationally recognized school of law.
Strong commercial contracting experience, in particular experience in working with marketing and sales functions.
A minimum of three years’ experience in a law firm environment.
In-house experience, in addition to law firm experience, preferred but not required.
Government contracting and third-party payer or other healthcare industry experience strongly preferred but not necessarily required for the right candidate.
