We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Software Engineer - Java / Big Data in our Burlington office who is thrilled at the challenge of delivering innovative, high quality, scalable software and bringing in new technical ideas and concepts based on experience, while having the opportunity to work with Big Data and Netezza/Hadoop as a part of our Advanced Advertising team.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers and architects to create the solution roadmap, requirements, and design.

Design and develop schemas and data acquisition, transformations, and data integration for large scale media consumption and advertising analytics.

Develop software and utilize commercial and open source software to interface big data and relational solutions.

Design and implement solutions for metadata, data quality, privacy management.

Support and consult with analytics and development staff on data presentation and use.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Mathematics

Minimum 6 years developing in data warehouses or digital analytics

Deep proficiency with databases, especially Netezza

Working knowledge of Hadoop

Experience with Object-Oriented Programming Languages (Java, C++, Python)

Excellent Problem Solving Skills

Passionate about usability and presentation of complex, high-volume analytics

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced Degree in Computer Science (MS/PhD)

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
