High school diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred; previous office, management and customer relations experience (preferably in a court, or legal, real estate, mortgage banking or credit bureau industry); or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience with standard office equipment and software; knowledge of standard office procedures and complex legal procedures/terminology; demonstrated skills in: oral/written communication; multi-tasking in fast-paced environment; meeting tight deadlines; attention to detail; public relations/customer service; utilization of state-of-the-art technology and work proficiency. Applicants selected for an interview will be administered a typing test at the time of interview to measure speed and accuracy, and are subject to a written exercise to measure knowledge/skills/efficiency. Pre-employment drug testing and FBI criminal background check required.


Manages a complex network that provides index and image data to customers and staff of the Circuit Court Clerk. Performs digital imaging and coordinates microfilm conversion activities to ensure that all permanent records are completely and accurately preserved using the proper medium. Expected to manage Record Room operations in Division Supervisor's absence (to include providing work direction to subordinate staff, training, and assisting with complex situations). Provides information and responds to customer service requests of the public and others over the phone and in the Record Room. Dockets and records judgments, financing statements, assumed names, and military discharges. Serves as liaison to all land records management vendors. Performs a myriad of other public relations/customer service functions as well as special projects or assignments as necessary and at the discretion of the elected Clerk of Circuit Court.
