Director/Senior Director, Human Resources (Cambridge, MA)
Reporting to the Vice President HR , Commercial Operations for Genzyme, this is an exceptional HR leadership role with responsibility for partnering with the
General Manager of the Multiple Sclerosis Business for North America and the MS leadership team in the US. Some of the key responsibilities are as follows:

Define HR strategy to meet the needs of the US MS organization

Ensure that the business strategies and requirements are translated into effective HR programs for the US MS organization
Focus on senior leader and manager development for the US MS organization
Provide HR leadership and direction for approximately 150 employees in multiple locations in the US; a population which will grow by greater than 100 later in 2013
Play a pivotal role in Organization Development initiatives
Responsible for building key relationships with senior leaders in the US organization and exercising independent judgment and decision making
Work in partnership with Compensation, Benefits, HR Business Partners and Organizational Development teams
Facilitate an active talent management and succession planning process for the US organization
Ensure appropriate mechanisms are in place to support a positive employee relations environment across the organization
Work as a coach to senior leaders within the US organization
Understand the Global MS business strategy and goals to support the business in meeting their performance measurements in the US
Work with the HR leadership team on key HR initiatives to deliver best in class HR service
Ensure we attract the required talent to key leadership roles.
Mobilize HR resources within the US as required to meet the evolving MS business needs during this important growth period


Basic Qualifications:
BS or equivalent in Psychology, Business or Human Resources
10+ years' experience as an HR Generalist, with at least two years supporting a commercial organization including Sales and Marketing
Demonstrated negotiation and consultation skills
Demonstrated analytical, presentation and facilitation skills
Sense of urgency in responding to clients
Demonstrated ability to act as change agent in supporting senior leaders ยท Must be available for US travel intermittently and occasionally significant US travel

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree
Candidates will be considered at the Director and Senior Director level based upon education, skills and experiences M*
