The Intelligence and Security Sector is seeking a Senior Director Business Development/Account Manager, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), with the position located in the Northern Virginia area (Mclean/Reston), directly reporting to the Vice President Business Development, Global Analysis/SpecTal. This position will be responsible for creating an NGA Business Development strategy, identifying, qualifying, and pursuing large opportunities. This position will need expertise with NGA operations and relationships within NGA and the NSG. Candidate will have a strong understanding of the major acquisition vehicles across NGA and the broader NSG. Candidate will bring existing NGA customer and industry relationships while developing and maintaining strong business relationships with key decision makers in the Geospatial and Intelligence Sector.
The ideal candidate will also be build, mature and execute an NGA account plan that delivers desired customer awareness and awards. Be accountable for winning business in NGA and the NSG along with an account team of business development directors, capture managers, subject matter experts and other business area team members. Document and communicate account plans. Plan and execute customer meetings. Obtain customer requirements, objectives, and priorities right from a mission and acquisition perspective. Communicate changes in the customer environment in a timely and effective manner. Understand the competitor landscape correctly for the capture team. Manage and report on overall account team activity, priorities. Build and qualify a pipeline of focused opportunities with strong probability of win.
M.A./M.S. or equivalent

Senior level Business Development/Account Management strategy creation and execution skills that lead to the winning of new opportunities Current high-level NGA customer contacts and the ability to leverage these contacts and relationships into qualified business opportunities Familiarity with NGA acquisition strategies and behaviors Ability to maintain customer relationships with senior or director level officials Knowledge of customer mission, specific customers, buying behaviors (acquisition organizations), and major programs and systems Program experience as well as knowledge in customer mission areas Ability to develop, document, and execute a strategy for growth in this customer set Ability to independently plan for and set up meetings. Ability to converse with customers at all levels about requirements and priorities without the aid of additional resources and documents (as well as with). Excellent writing and communication skill. Ability to document and communicate plans for accounts, opportunity pursuits, customer meetings, etc. Knowledge of competitors and ability to model competitor behaviors in the market Experience winning business either at the program level or at a major rogram level. Must have industry experience and business knowledge. Experience in customer space trumps experience as a BD person.
