We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator/ Estimating Manager to join our Heavy Civil/Marine group. The Senior Estimator/ Estimating Manager will assist the Chief Estimator with all aspects of estimating, including managing and coordinating the estimating team, software and other resources used to perform the estimating functions in the pursuit of Marine projects. The Senior Estimator/ Estimating Manager will lead the team in coordinating bid efforts, including quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of construction projects. The Senior Estimator/ Estimating Manager will manage the preparation of all estimates including takeoff of concrete and communicating with team regarding all other discipline estimates. Projects range from fully defined (Design-Bid-Build Projects) to conceptual (alternative procurement such as Design Build projects). This is an exciting, challenging role for which only the best are considered.

Assist with quantity take-off, pricing and bidding of construction projects. Work in conjunction with Bid Team to prepare an accurate bid proposal.
• Specific focus on Marine projects.
• Assist with final assembly of estimate for presentation to Owner.
• Solid hard bid and conceptual estimating capabilities.
• Strong knowledge and relationships with the subcontracting community.
• Experience and knowledge of the manufacturing community.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing of estimates including mechanical, concrete, and building trades.
• Experience in estimates ranging from 30 Million and up.
• Assist with final assembly of estimate for presentation to Owner.
• Subcontractor solicitation during bidding process.
• Aid field operations with change order pricing.
• Review of the project documents for value analysis suggestions.
• Preparation and pricing of value analysis suggestions.
• Prepare budget comparisons between current and previous estimates.
• Heavy concrete estimating experience is required.
10+ years of Port/ Marine construction experience required.
• Experience with elaborating estimates for Port and Marine projects including the self-perform activities like pile driving, cast-in-place concrete and precast erection.
• Knowledge of Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook.
• General knowledge of HCSS preferable.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction management or engineering preferred
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required with experience on projects over 30 million dollars.
• Knowledge of negotiated bids, hard bids, design build and GMP processes.
• Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work.
• Experience leading successful team ventures, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities and subcontractor community.
