Sr. Financial Analyst, Customer
Manager, Customer Finance
Develop deeper analysis and accountability for VS&M trade budgets. Drive partners to focus on bottom line impact. Help grow team’s ability to understand and react to new business opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Execute forecast and planning model
Manage forecast and AOP timeline and reporting package
Drive all internal report updates– Adesso, forecast reporting packages, etc…
Create and compile top line reporting packages– translate product and account specific info to Business Unit summaries to share with business partners
Drive financial processes
Lead creation of quarter-end journal entries and analysis of significant variance vs. forecast.
Be the fiduciary conscience of the Retail Marketing (RM) team, driving sound decision making.
Evaluate Activision retail marketing programs
Conduct post mortem analysis on RM events to measure ROI on trade spending investments and share learning's with RM/CBT and internal Marketing teams to better plan for going forward programs
Ensure that data approach is in place so that all unique trade vehicles can be measured for success.
Work with RM management to allocate BU budgets to CBT / RM
Support Customer Business Teams (CBTs) and RM team with analysis on customer level spends for all programs
Manage reserved budget spending to ensure most effective ROI and OI for ATVI
Provide Marketing teams with frequent financial updates
Assist with customer profitability analysis
Support Finance Manager and Director in executing customer P&Ls
Drive business partners to focus on operating income vs. revenue by helping them understand the impact of their decisions
Support new business opportunities
Ensure support for emerging business models (e.g. digital) and alternative channels (Rental, Drug/Grocery)
Drive understanding of ATVI retail trends in these emerging businesses
Principal Working Relationships:
Close collaboration with retail marketing team, field sales team, business units (BUs) and finance organization.
BA required, MBA preferred
Special Knowledge, Skills: (Tools and Technology, Technical Skills)
Excellent proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Experience with Hyperion Planning / Essbase preferred
Prior Experience/Previous Positions related to current position:
Financial / accounting background
CPG / Retail experience preferred
Other Qualifications and/or Requirements:
Proven ability to analyze complex data and distill this information into meaningful reports and presentations.
Excellent planning, analytical, presentation and organizational skills.
Must have the ability to effectively manage several priorities and lead teams in a changing, dynamic environment.
