The Senior Financial Analyst provides global Energy sector financial cost data and analysis to establish, analyze, track, and communicate all relevant cost information throughout the life cycle of the Energy portfolio of products (including but not limited to industrial gas turbines, compressors, and packages)
Assist in design and verify accuracy of cost management data systems, cost models, and tools to allow for representative forecasting and reporting with a high level of data integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
Evaluate product changes within the product change board process for cost impact against product baseline cost and ensure validation of cost reduction initiatives from concept to realization.
Support the resolution of business process issues and drive for continuous process improvements.
Provide support for bidding and new product introduction including cost estimation, variance analysis, and business case preparation.
Assist in the execution of all planning cycles
Responsible for the month end production of global Energy purchase spend and material price variance reporting.
Build & maintain good relationships with Global Finance/Cost/Supply Chain communities understanding the impact of cost changes on their business model.
Support ad-hoc activities with decision useful financial information.
Qualifications and experience
Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Or Master's Degree and 4+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
Experience in a manufacturing environment
CPA/CMA or equivalent
