This position schedules shipments of refined products and heavy fuels through Tesoro's distribution channels to ensure timely delivery to refineries and customers. Improves Tesoro's profitability through effective utilization of logistics infrastructure to minimize transportation costs. Monitors daily operational status of deliveries or receipts for assigned territory. Coordinates with various refinery personnel, planning groups, and traders. Maintains inventory records and performs system reporting per company requirements

Schedules movements via various distribution channels through use of propriety and third-party scheduling systems. Reponds to unexpected events making contingency arrangements to minimize disruption of product supply. Ensures relevant data is captured accurately and recorded timely, including International Documentation.
Identifies and communicates commercial/operational opportunities while in dynamic operational environment. Focuses continuously on increasing transportation efficiency while minimizing per barrel transportation costs. Works with customers and suppliers to maintain accurate forecast on volume requirements/movement.
Communicates and verifies planned movements as well as status with traders, optimizers, transportation and counterparts, external counterparties, producers, marketers, terminals, vessels and pipelines. Establishes and sustains industry relationships pertaining to supply, transportation and logistical issues.
Provides timely and accurate inventory position information to traders.
Acts as scheduling resource to other departments such as Accounting, Logistics, Marketing.
Education & Experience:
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years crude oil/refined products scheduling experience in petrochemical industry required.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Fluent in Spanish (spoken & written)
International scheduling experience in Latin America
