MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior JAVA Programmer analyzes, plans, designs and creates applications conforming to user requirements in a UNIX based system. The Programmer accesses and maintains the compatibility of the Windows machine and its relation to the files using bat files and text editors to insure data integrity and efficiency of operation. The Programmer insures that documentation and methods of operation are updated or created within each system. Also provides technical support for end user departments including analyzing user requirements, developing technical solutions to best meet these requirements, developing customized software, ongoing support for new software versions, and participating in large HIS projects. Develop a thorough understanding of the department’s business practices to maximize the use of information services technologies. Performs additional duties as required.
Education: College graduate of a Baccalaurete Program in computer related field.
Experience: At least one-year hands on experience with Cloverleaf development and routing of different HL7 messages between different vendors.
The following experience is highly desirable.
Experience with Translating GUI, TCL and Java including JMS Queries.
Managerial or Team Lead experience
Technical knowledge of enterprise application/interface design and development of systems, databases, operating systems and information management.
Must be ble to solve complex problems with direction
Must have the communicaiton skills and abilities to develop and present solutions to superiors.
Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously to meet project deadlines as required.
Certification: Cloverleaf I, II, III preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: Programming required.
