Provides development and support of existing EDI processes and systems including, but not limited to, Sterling Integrator, Gentran Integration Suite, Axway applications, and Java EE applications.
Design new software products in support of Decision Support business demands.
Identify process improvement opportunities of current Software programs to optimize operational performance and efficiency for internal and external customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Experience in all phases of SDLC and Agile practices
Experience with an Object Relational Mapping framework Hibernate
Experience using Eclipse
Troubleshoot and respond to user questions / issues and escalate problems.
Ability to complete map development and AS2 connectivity.
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by analyzing information.
Work collaboratively with internal and external resources to identify process improvements and areas for automation.
Design, document, implement and optimize automation of manual processes as assigned.
Provides status reporting on project schedule and milestone delivery.
Manage multiple integration tasks simultaneously.
Write detailed functional and technical specifications for use by internal teams
Must be a self-starter and be able to keep up with the pace producing quality work on time within budget.
Must be able to track and complete assigned work tasks with little supervision.
High quality written and verbal communication skills are critical.
Knowledge and past experiences working in an Agile environment, being part of a Sprint Team and understanding the framework will be a plus.
Ability and willingness to provide after-hours, weekend and holiday support as needed.
Healthcare industry knowledge is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.
Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.
Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:
BA/BS in Computer Science or related concentration
5+ yrs Java experience
5+ yrs EDI experience
3+ yrs software development experience utilizing J2EE technologies (JMS, JDBC, EJB)
3+ yrs with database technologies (i.e. Microsoft SQL Server).
3+ yrs with Web Service development experience
