The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following:

Following the laboratory’s procedure for specimen collection, handling and processing, as well as test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of test results;

Adhering to the laboratory’s quality control policies;

Documenting all quality controls activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance;

Identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and either correcting the problem or notifying Supervisor;

Training new Medical Technologists / Medical Laboratory Technicians and completing their training paperwork;

Training treatment area duties to new employees;

Attending quarterly trainer meetings;

Working with the Treatment Area Senior Regional Trainer;

Providing exceptional patient and client service;

Completing other daily tasks.

Minimum education and professional requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:

Employee must be 18 years of age or older;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;

One year technician training in a formal training program;

Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution;

Must be able to travel within region required;

Flexible schedule required.
