The Senior Manager–Distribution Center Operations is responsible for assisting the Director of Distribution in successfully managing all operational aspects of the Golfsmith Distribution Center including Direct and Retail Shipping, Put away and Replenishment, Production, Quality Assurance, and Stocking.
  • Ensures consistent operational success and acceptable levels of service in all aspects of the Golfsmith Distribution Center.
  • Ensures safety protocols are clearly defined, communicated, enforced, and are synchronized with local, state and federal guidelines.
  • Enforces operational policies, procedures and processes that are in alignment with Golfsmith goals and in compliance with all state and federal laws.
  • Leads operational process improvements and initiatives that drive productivity, quality, efficiency, and profitability
  • Assists in P&L responsibilities including controlling operational costs, managing capital expenses, budgeting, and re-forecasting
  • Assists in leading management team including development, performance management, and accountability
  • Ensures strong cross functional partnership with Human Resources, Marketing, Merchandising, Contact Center, Finance, and other internal business partners in developing and executing business strategies
  • Maintains business relationship with vendor partners and effectively manages bids, proposals, and negotiations.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong Leadership skills including leading by example, communicating a clear vision, integrity, humility, accountability, assertiveness, conflict resolution, innovative, passionate and empowering.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Power Point, Visio
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present, ability to analyze and interpret business documents and ability to create reports
  • Proven experience in hiring, developing and retaining quality talent
  • Strong interpersonal and team building skills
Required Experience
  • 7+ years experience working in a distribution, logistics or warehouse environment in a management and/or lead role
