POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND SUMMARY

The Senior Manager - Program Management Office (PMO) will be responsible for:

  • Driving the end-to-end solutioning, definition, and implementation of simple to complex partner projects, with the support of a cross-functional team.
  • Managing the Statement of Work process for all partner projects
  • Establishing strong collaborative working relationships with both partners and internal cross-functional groups
  • Driving the adoption of program and project management best practices across the organization.
  • Providing management with the data needed to prioritize companywide projects based on partner priorities, organizational objectives and capacity
  • Providing support to internal PlumChoice initiatives as needed

Additionally, the Senior Manager - Program Management will lead the day-to-day management of the (PMO), and will manage individual projects as a player and not just a “coach”.

Working with the appropriate cross-functional resources, the Senior Manager - Program Management
will ensure we are delivering a well-articulated, solution-oriented Statement of Work, associated schedules and alignment of resources and priorities.

Additional Responsibilities:

Lead efforts to assess and establish the alignment of strategic goals against tactical projects and initiatives through analysis and recommendations.
Design, lead, and deliver programs and projects aligned to strategic and corporate priorities.
Identify and drive the adoption of optimal program and project methodologies required to successfully achieve desired objectives.
Spearhead management of risks and issues that may impact strategic direction.
Manage matrixed teams as part of delivering partner solutions.
Drive project requests from initiation into execution.
Coach and mentor team members, and work effectively with cross-functional heads and team members
Apply strategic insights to simplify and improve internal processes and efficiencies while managing business constraints
Drive partner projects to completion, which includes leading needs analysis discussions, requirement documentation, creation of a Statement of Work, and leading of the tactical project team.
Ensure supporting documentation is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the project
Regularly present program status and issues to Management through reporting and meetings.
Partner with Account Director and Managers in driving expansion of services within our existing partnerships
Ability to lead and manage complex partner programs, having many project interdependencies
Demonstrate excellent partner-facing and general communication skills (verbal and written).
Drive the resolution of complex problems through the solution lifecycle
Show excellent initiative, as well as outstanding follow-up and organizational skills
Demonstrate strong people and team skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively drive cross functional teams

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years overall experience with 3+ years of experience in services Program Management
  • Ability to think creatively, and be problem solver who can troubleshoot given minimal information
  • Have a flexible approach with the ability and willingness to multi-task
  • 5+ years of experience in services Program Management
  • Experience with building strong, collaborative teams
  • External customer management
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently complete tasks on time and on budget with a strong grasp of formal software development and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent presentation, writing and interpersonal skills, customer-oriented attitude, and high-eergy
  • Exceptional ability to read difficult situations, identify risks, build consensus with stakeholders on a solution, and take a leadership role in bringing issues to resolution
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to step in and take charge
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Project and other MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Desired Experience or Qaulifications

  • PMP or other project management certification
  • Prior experience working in a growing, fast-paced organization with a dynamic environment

EDUCATION
BS / BA degree in Computer Science, Business Management or a related field
