WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Senior Manager Continuous Improvement at Kellogg, you will be part of our success by:
Developing the cultural vision for the site that provides the foundation for the Organizational Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement strategies and action plan.
Leading the site leadership team in the integration of the appropriate actions to support the Continuous Improvement cultural vision and to support the delivery of the Compelling Business Need.
Working with the Kellogg North America director of Continuous Improvement and Plant Continuous Improvement leaders to develop a strategy and plan for reapplication of Site High Performance Organization and Continuous improvement culture and methodologies.
Working with Kellogg North America director of Continuous Improvement and Plant Continuous Improvement leaders to define the grooming environment and opportunities that the Site can provide to support the reapplication plan.
Building capability of the site leaders (internal and external) to implement Organizational Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement systems, tools, and methodologies to enable their site business needs.
Seeking out best in class practices external and internal to Kellogg to keep the site organization on the leading edge of Continuous improvement culture for benchmark results.
Engaging all plant employees to develop a culture of continuous improvement
Proactively ensuring that all Plant Continuous Improvement Managers receive proper training and tools to enable them to provide onsite technical expertise as required for achieving improvement goals, through methods such as, but not limited to, coaching, mentoring and consultation
Continually expanding and enhancing knowledge level of K-LEAN, lean manufacturing and industry “best in class” manufacturing cost savings projects and operations practices
Sharing accountability with plant personnel to deliver the annual targeted cost savings goals
Serving as the single point of contact for continuous improvement working as the liaison between plant operations and headquarters
Managing the development and implementation of “best practices” in all areas of plant operations
Managing the optimization of plant operations and/or equipment related Kaizen events and Targeted Savings Projects
Managing the cost savings process work with Continuous Improvement Practitioners, Work Stream Leads, and plant personnel to identify and correct potential implementation issues
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in supporting our Continuous Improvement efforts and Supply Chain Business, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Significant related experience in process, manufacturing, maintenance and/or reliability engineering
Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated “change agent” skills; inclusive of influence management, project management, vision development, and people motivation skills
Proven problem solving skills inclusive of Root Cause Analysis/Problem Solving, Kaizen, and Conflict Resolution
Proficiency with computers, and computer software including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Ability to Lead and Motivate others
Ability to understand multiple manufacturing processes.
Experience with Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) . 5S,
& Value Stream Mapping
Previous Manufacturing Operations Management
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Requires approximately 30% travel to and working in manufacturing facilities and corporate headquarters
While working in manufacturing facilities, this position will require working more than standard hours (Note: While working in manufacturing facilities, it is required to 100% comply with all plant-specific/Kellogg personal safety, food safety and regulatory compliance policies)
