We are looking for a Senior Microsoft Lync/Exchange Engineerin our ISS group.

o Expertise with Microsoft Lync 2010 architecture, design, deployment and Migration.

o Participate in customer-facing pre-sales activities, RFP response development, scoping and developing Statements of Works

o Effectively apply technical knowledge to pre-sales situations and crafting solutions for customers.

o Understanding of Voice over IP (VoIP), SIP and related UC technologies

o Experience with Edge Server and configuration related to Lync is critical.

o Expertise with Microsoft Exchange 2010 architecture, design, deployment and Migration preferred.

o Proficient in creating Microsoft’s recommended Lync deployment topology

o Strong Understanding of Voice dial plans, PSTN equipment, VOIP solutions and related UC technologies.

o Serves as technical expert and point-of-contact on escalated issues

o Provides level 3 and 4 support for Messaging and Collaboration projects and implemented applications

o Make recommendations to management on tactical operational improvements and strategic architecture/design to lower overall cost of ownership, and achieve highest levels of availability and performance

o Conducts performance analysis and tunes application to increase performance.

o Increases efficiency by designing and implementing best practices and process automation

o Establish documentation and best practices.

o Advice on options, risks, cost versus benefit, and impact on other business processes and technology priorities

o Responsible for reacting to requests from service ticket, service outages, change control, & other projects

o Plans, coordinates and responds to application outages

o Communicates technical and non-technical information to technical support groups, customer support centers, end-users, senior management and vendors

o Develops and documents procedures, policies, and how-to to increase efficiency and meet the needs of the business.

o Plans, coordinates and executes change management processes

o Increases efficiency by designing and implementing best practices and process automation


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or 5 years in a related field is preferred.
Data collection, analysis, reporting and proven debugging skills
Must have the ability to multitask while still providing exemplary service
The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations and gather team consensus to move forward
The candidate should be able to work effectively at all levels of the organization; must have strong verbal and written communication skills; must have excellent interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation, leadership skills and must have strong skills in analysis, design, problem-solving, and project lifecycle knowledge.

The candidate must be able to represent and make strategic decisions for the team in the absence or delegation of responsibility from management in any forum.
Must have the ability to present and discuss technology with diverse knowledge workers.
