We are seeking a senior level individual with a unique combination of Product Manager, Strategy Lead, Program Management, and practically applied Engineering / Technical acumen.
Must be experienced defining and building a strategy for new product ideas from the ground up, developing both internal collaboration throughout the organization as well as strong external business partnerships. This skill set should have been developed through expereince working in a technical capacity with an R&D team charged with innovation ideas for a traditional product offering, and successfully driving new product innovation to a market launch.
Lead strategy, development and implementation for an R&D program.
Assess current and emerging technologies.
Identify strategic partners including manufacturing partners and marketing branding partnerships.
Develop technical strategies, development plans and technical governance for innovation areas.
Size market opportunity and develop business cases to support commercialization projects.
Align business partners and product development activities to a long term business strategy.
8+ years related experience preferably focused in manufacturing, closely aligned to product development
Demonstrated success developing / building a strategic vision in order to take new technical products to market
Successful track record in an innovation / R&D group with cradle-to-grave initiatives, in Marketing, Program Management, Business Solutions / Development capacities
High-level experience developing business partnerships within complimentary industries
Knowledge of technical product / solutions including wireless, smart electronics and telecommunications
Prefer experience with / knowledge of mechanical design and modeling
BS degree in Engineering, and prefer MBA
