This Dallas-based position is responsible for managing all the product-related efforts including P&L responsibility, new product business initiatives for all payment opportunities originating through alliance partnerships, and managing the alliance partner relationship for the department with the objective of continuous development of collaborative, strategic approaches to continue expansion of the overall biller network. In essence, this is the primary person responsible for the department’s alliance line of business. This position will initiate, develop, and execute strategic plans to achieve company objectives. Responsibilities include:
Initiates strategic product direction of U.S. initiated transactions for all payment partner opportunities that are processed through a third party alliance partnership.
Leads, facilitates, and executes the product strategy, plans, objectives, and communication within the Payments division for the payment opportunities in the alliances space
Oversees the product P&L and budgets, including product development budgets and forecasting within the division for the payments alliance and third party processor space
Conducts strategic analysis of the payments industries and current business activity to identify new opportunities
Creates overall market entry strategy and product experience objectives partnership alliances
Creates market growth strategy for U.S. originated payment products
Establishes pricing strategy for assigned verticals
Reviews and approves account management biller spending within predetermined parameters
Generates appropriate consumer and competitive research activities and subsequent business recommendations
Provides project management and accountability oversight from a product perspective for all payments alliances projects, process improvements, product development enhancements, and product launches
Creates compelling business cases with the appropriate supporting documentation/financials to justify the requested capital and/or spending and provide the needed visibility into NPV, IRR, ROI, and Payback values to make the appropriate product determination
Manages critical new market verticals assessing market opportunity and assisting with development of new market entry strategies
Creates growth strategy to support new market entry including product vision that considers billers, agents and consumers in the overall product experience
Works with sales, marketing and product management vertical owners, for launch of new payment programs and managing client relations. Responsible for identification, introduction, and facilitation of the initial biller relationship establishment process connecting the internal sales team directly with billers that are processed through an alliance partnership with the objective to achieve an active biller partner.
Develops, owns, and manages business and product experience definition for payment partners processed through an alliance partnership including pricing, biller, consumer and agent experience as it relates to multiple offering scenarios for a single biller, collaborating with vertical owners in sales and product management to bring to market the best consumer offering.
Establishment and ongoing maintenance of the entire MoneyGram biller catalog and matrix to include not only existing billers that are live, but also biller offering opportunities that are available through existing alliance partnerships. Responsible for aligning the organization around available opportunities and facilitating the decision process within the organization to determine if an available bill payment opportunity will be brought to market through an alliance.

JOB DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES :
In order of importance, describe up to 6 of the primary duties the incumbent will be required to perform on a consistent and ongoing basis.
Initiates and develops and the strategic vision and tactics for the alliances product line. Oversees and provides input into the broader payment products strategic planning process for alliance processing opportunities. Research market, consumer and competitive trends within the Bill Payment space. Identify and research new integrations/products with potential business partners that will increase brand awareness and drive leads/revenue for Bill Payment product. Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to define the specific objectives of prospective alliances and establish potential return on investment models that help guide the organization to prioritization based on partnership viability. Develop and present a business case on feasible alliance opportunities to the vice president and general manager and members of the Executive Committee.
35% Research, initiate and develop strategic and basic business requirements for new product alliances and oversee the launch and development process, including research, setup recommendation, and sound decision-making which impacts the overall offering of a bill payment partner processed through an alliance. Project management including analysis and research of the prepaid/top-up market place and execute new product development efforts to include overseeing investment proposal and business case development. Oversees all project and process teams to ensure successful internal and external product implementation and launch is achieved. Engage and lead cross functional teams from legal, finance, operations, information technology, marketing, sales and product to execute the contractual relationship, identify biller opportunities through an alliance partnership and directly lead and be accountable for the delivery to market of payment offerings through an alliance.
20% Manage Key Bill Payment alliance relationships. Build relationships with key stakeholders throughout the alliance organization, investigate opportunities to expand the relationship and drive additional transaction revenue. Track and monitor results including establishment of alliance yearly plan targets, tracking of performance to plan, and P&L accountability for alliance revenue. Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews. Participate in related trade shows and/or under conferences.
20% Work closely with Sales & Account Management teams to establish relationships with new billers available through an alliance partnership and drive organic growth within existing billers. This may include preparing for and attending Sales presentations and Quarterly Business Reviews. Assist in the development of Strategic Account planning. Work closely with Marketing and Agent Support team to create and promote both Agent and Consumer awareness of Strategic relationship Billers.

5 years of payment product and/or sales experience
5-10 years project or product management experience
5 years of strategic product planning experience
Competency in market analysis, sales and revenue forecasting, project planning and management, promotion development, and executing general product strategies
Expertise working on all aspects of the product life cycle including concept screening, market and consumer research, operational/technical feasibility business planning, and market analysis
Proven analytical, project management, and budget management skills.
A proactive leader who is energized and inspired by team environments and understands the importance of relationship building both with internal and external customers
Excels in effective and positive written and verbal communications especially when acting as a liaison between departments, internal employees/subordinates and clients. Demonstrates the ability to create and deliver effective oral and written presentations/proposals to senior level management
