We are seeking a

Senior Program Manager

in our Global Transformation department.

The Transformation Program Manager (PMO) will be responsible for the Execution of critical transformation projects across the company.

PMO will be responsible for ensuring that teams are meeting project goals on time and within allocated budget; reviewing actual benefits against plans, enhance the existing infrastructure for project tracking and reporting, ensuring consistent use in all the projects and correct roll up into the executive dashboard.

The individual will also develop and implement new processes and implement metrics to continually measure process robustness, effectiveness and efficiency.

PMO will contribute to set the standards by which corporate processes will be documented and objectively assessed. PMO will be responsible for contributing to and maintaining a central repository for process documentation for the corporation and will ensure that all process documentation is kept current.

Key Job Functions & Duties

Lead coordination of development and management against project plans with Master Black Belts for initiatives supporting process transformation

Ensure plans incorporate Lean Six Sigma standards, including metrics, benefits, dates for each phase, and known dependencies

Lead in the activities and deliverables required for project reporting, issue management and resolution, project plan updates, and preparation for major milestones (such as quality gates)

Ensure that major documentation deliverables are captured and stored in corporate repositories

Track dependencies with other related projects, applications, and teams

Determine and implement the communications needed for ongoing project management, and negotiate issues between individuals or teams working on the project to minimize miscommunications and delays

Identify and escalate project issues to minimize potential schedule impacts

Provide executive updates of all process improvement projects, and budget and resource management



Large scale program management work experience and must have held Program Manager title within past 5 years

(at least 2-3 large programs, going across multiple functions, involving technology and a business transformation-like effort)

6-10 years of progressively responsible experience in project management

The candidate must be able to handle multiple complex projects, to work independently, have excellent follow-up, and meet tight deadlines for deliverables.

The candidate must also have excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, and be able to deal effectively with ambiguity and constant change

Ability to think logically and can provide concrete, well-articulated examples of past challenges and how they were able to move forward (and overcome objections)

Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels of Marsh’s organization as well as with external vendors and partners.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential to the position.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment are required

Excellent time manager with strong work ethic and drive for excellence

Experience in service industry (preferably financial services)

Proven track record in achieving significant financial value through their work

Has led people directly as a manager, and indirectly as a Program Manager

Project management training within the past 5 years

Advanced computer skills: MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Strategic thinking capability; can link dependencies, proactively identify risks, manage stakeholders


Certification as Six-Sigma Green Belt or Lean-Six-Sigma Green Belt

Green, Black, or Master Black Belt or Business Process Management (BPM) certification

PMP certification

Project Management Certification (PMI) or an MBA, Masters degree in technology management (or relevant industry/field) strongly preferred

Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems or other quantitative discipline such as Engineering

Stable professional background

Expert user of Microsoft Project
