Job Description:
The ideal candidate will be a creative, detail-oriented, collaborative webmaster that is familiar with the growing Web 2.0 landscape and has a high aptitude to learn new applications. MS SharePoint experience is desired.

The Senior Programmer - Webmaster will design and develop an outstanding user experiences for both internal and public facing websites and applications. This position requires a strong HTML, CSS, XML and site architecture background to be used for several complex, education oriented, websites.

Additionally, the incumbent installs, configures, tests, manages, monitors, supports, and troubleshoots District Communications systems, focused on Audio, Video and related Digital Content Management and Distribution.

Inspects work performed by contractors, vendors and CCPS personnel to ensure work meets specifications and is compliant with quality standards. This position reports to the Director.

Additional Job Information:
Creates and Updates Documentation and Diagrams for the District IT /Digital Content Environment and ensures Audit Compliance.

Computer Skills:
Requires strong computer skills, including knowledge of how servers work, and the ability to produce complex, cross-platform HTML, XML quickly and basic CSS. Advanced knowledge of Content Management Systems. Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Access, and Project). Basic Adobe Photoshop skills.

All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services

Minimum Qualifications:
REQUIRED: Qualified candidates will have Bachelor's degree in Web Design,Computer Information Systems or related field. A minimum of four years experience managing content and production for large complex websites. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience with site management, web content creation, content strategy, and search-engine optimization (SEO) techniques. Must be extremely organized with excellent time-management skills, multi-task oriented and able to meet strict deadlines. Ability to work across departments within CCPS to create a positive work environment. Strong customer support skills are required.
