The TRICARE Benefit Operations team is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with a passion for change management and process improvement to assist the development and implementation of critical business processes.

 

This is an exciting role in which the individual will have an opportunity to directly partner with executive level business champions to identify, evaluate and deploy projects that will drive superior service for the Beneficiaries we support:

 

Projects include but are not limited to:
  • The improvement and design of new operational processes to address defects through the application of industry accepted tools (i.e. PMI, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma Methodologies)
  • Work cross functionally to drive end to end process integration with other functions within Military and Veterans
 

In this role you will:
  • Analyze data and evaluate the feasibility, cost benefit and effectiveness of operational programs
  • Define, manage and implement projects in a timely and cost-effective manner, assisting overall department objectives to be met annually
  • Collaborate with segment partners throughout the Company for purposes of information sharing and dissemination
  • Utilize process improvement methodologies including lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management Body of Knowledge
This position is available in Minnetonka, MN. Telecommuting from other locations is a possibility.

As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. Citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF86.

  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a healthcare field with 3 to 5 years of related experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of Project Management experience
  • Minimum of 4 years in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions
  • Minimum of 4 years in tracking, planning projects, working with large data sets and making data-driven analytical decisions
  • Proven experience and success in all areas of project management lifecycle
  • Strong aptitude and experience with both financial and clinical analytics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Sharepoint)
United States Citizenship

Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Department fo Defense form SF86 NAC form SF86

http://www.opm.gov/forms/pdf_fill/sf86.pdf , (the National Agency Check or "NAC"). Successful completion of the NAC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role. NAC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer, and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received. Failure to obtain final NAC approval will result in termination from this role.
