The successful candidate will be expected to be engaged from the outset of the proposal process, and be the final editor. The position requires technical aptitude, and demonstrated ability to take a collection of writing assignments and weave them into a single, plainly worded, logical technical and business proposal that is sequenced properly, compliant and includes win themes.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's Degree (prefer English or Professional Writing major)
Experience in editing large-scale proposals is mandatory.
10+ years of experience as a Technical writer/Proposal writer
Understanding of the software development life cycle
Ability to work closely with software developers as part of a team
Excellent grammar and editing skills
Experience with Microsoft products is required (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel)
Desired Skills & Experience
Familiarity with SOA/Agile development
Familiarity with CMS documentation requirements
Familiarity with configuration management (non-software)
