DESCRIPTION

Glevum Associates is currently seeking (4) qualified Senior level Research Managers for an upcoming proposal, 1 position for each of 4 countries: US, Mexico, Russia, and Iran. Positions will be based in the US.

DUTIES

The duties and qualifications for each position are:
1. Must have previously lived in the assigned country and be a native-level speaker of the respective language. Some travel will be required to the assigned country where research will be conducted for limited time periods for Russia and Mexico. For Iran, travel may be required for limited time to either Iraq, Lebanon, or Turkey.

2. Support clients to fully understand, develop and finalize their information requirements from a sound and ethical methodological perspective.

3. Contribute to the development of a research plan that focuses on qualitative collection methods including focus groups and in-depth interviews to ensure that all insights gathered through the research are fully utilized.

4. Develop culturally attuned interview protocols and focus group discussion guides.

5. Task research assets in support of client information requirements.

6. Coordinate and work collaboratively with researchers based in assigned country of study.

7. Analyze the resulting data to identify themes to determine the implications and trends that the data reveal, presenting the analysis graphically and textually

8. Apply personal knowledge and experience in the country of interest to interpret the data.

9. Produce written reports and briefings on research findings to clients and authorized U.S. entities.

QUALIFICATIONS

General Requirements for Senior Qualitative Research Analyst:
MA or Ph.D. in political science, international relations, sociology, sociolinguistics, psychology, journalism, history, area studies, or anthropology plus 7 years work experience, with an emphasis on research, analysis and project implementation

Must have substantial experience in conducting thematic analysis of qualitative data and ideally experience with a qualitative analysis program such as NVivo or Atlas.ti.

Must be willing to travel to one of the following research sites: Russia, Mexico, for Iran travel may be required for limited time to either Iraq, Lebanon, or Turkey. Candidates must be proficient in writing and speaking the respective language of the assigned country.
