Senior Research Associate/Scientist*, High-Throughput Screening

  • We are currently seeking a Senior Research Associate/Scientist in HTS to join our team. Title will be commensurate with experience (Senior Research Associate-Scientist).

The responsibilities for this position include executing microscopy-based cell contractility assays, muscle fiber force measurements, automated lead optimization assays and high-throughput screens, as well as assay development. This position requires preparing reagents for multi-component biochemical assays, executing assays on large-scale laboratory automation and microscopes, analyzing and reporting data to corporate databases, and producing written and oral reports. There may also be a need for development, automation and execution of novel assays. The position requires working with large datasets to critically assess assay performance and, when needed, troubleshooting assays.

Job Requirements:

The candidate should have excellent computer skills and familiarity with database applications.
Excellent reliability, oral and written communication, interpersonal, organization, and collaboration skills are required.

The position requires a Ph.D. in Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years industry experience for the Scientist level or a B.S./M.S. in Biology, Biochemistry or a related discipline and at least 8 years experience in assay development and running biochemical assays in a screening environment.

The candidate must be highly motivated, detail-oriented and have a good understanding of enzymatic assays, scientific experiment design, and data analysis.
