The successful candidate will report to the NAPO IT SCADA Supervisor. This individual will serve as the primary HMI SCADA Developer for Marathon and act as the developer mentor for the HMI SCADA team, including contractors.
The successful candidate will be required to be on-call 7x24 and travel up to 20% of the time throughout North America and potentially to International locations.
Degree Required : Bachelor's preferred. Computer Science degree a plus
Certifications : Wonderware ArchestrA Integrator required
Experience : 10 years upstream oil and gas SCADA; at least 8 years development and integration of HMI Systems. Also required, experience with measurement and control instrumentation; industrial HMI Networking (wired and wireless); radio communications; current server and workstation hardward; current Windows operating systems; Data Historians (PL a plus); OPC servers (AutoSol and Top Server a plus); Alarm callout systems (WIN911 a plus)
Development (generally using the latest platform versions)
Develop reusable templates and graphics using the ArchestrA System Platform (v. 3.x)
Develop Wonderware InTouch HMI - navigation, process graphics, trending, alarm/event displays, user management, etc.
Design and implement the HMI security model in ArchestrA
Design and implement the HMI alarm model in ArchestrA
Develop site reports – Production, Exceptions, Communications, …
Develop .NET controls to extend the functionality of the InTouch/ArchestrA HMI
Develop ArchestrA components for to enhance the control and monitoring of ArchestrA system functions (OPC Servers, redundancy, manual fail-over, backups, …)
Develop system management utilities to backups, configuration synchronization, data loading and archiving, etc.
Develop reports utilizing Wonderware Information Server and InSQL Historian
Install hardware and software at field sites
Assist field personnel with the installation and testing of hardware interfaces to the HMI system, including but not limited to:
KVM Units (Avocent, etc.)
Industrial Touch Screen Panel PCs (Allen-Bradley VersaView, etc.)
Specialized Graphics cards
MOXA protocol conversion devices
MODBUS bridges (Lantronix, etc).
Assist field personnel with the installation and testing of Networks and Protocols utilized at Marathon including but not limited to:
RS232,RS422, & RS485 Serial Data Communications
Ethernet Network Design & Configuration
PLC Networks such as Ethernet TCP/IP, Control Net, DH+, and Remote I/O.
Assist field personnel with the installation and testing of HMI software and interfaces to the HMI system, including but not limited to:
AutoSol OPC Server
Software Tool Box TopServer OPC Server
Network device monitoring with SNMP
GE SNP Protocol
Fisher ROC Protocol
ABB Totalflow Protocol
Assist field personnel with the FCO of any SCADA equipment tied into the HMI system
Assist field personnel with the communications interfaces of any SCADA equipment tied into the HMI system
Travel for 1 – 2 week durations several times a year
Be part of the 7 x 24 On-Call Rotation
Support all hardware and software tied to the HMI System
Coordinate Supplier/Vendor Support for the Field
Coordinate Vendor Support for general HMI issues
Includes raising tickets with vendors
Includes research related to the problem at hand
Assist the SCADA Architect with systems design
Manage Development / Test Environment
Ensure all upgrades, enhancements, new version, etc. are fully tested prior to moving into production
Ensure interoperability testing is performed to the fullest extent possible
Ensure new interfaces and protocols are tested to the fullest extent possible
Assist the Network and Security Specialist with Security related testing
Assist other Marathon groups with testing their equipment/software
