Senior IS database Administrator
In this dynamic role your primary responsibilities will be:
Planning, installation, and setup of databases to meet application and security requirements.
Configuration, performance tuning, monitoring, and maintenance of SQL 2000 and 2005 databases.
Use of Analysis Services and Reporting services for SQL 2000 and 2005
Auditing of production systems for security, capacity, and usage.
Be available to be on with some weekend and night work required.
Understanding of Active Directory, Kerberos, Clustering, SAN's in an enterprise environment.
Schedule and prioritize database activities on projects involving the deployment of application databases.
Maintain existing database Servers and clients using available admin tools.
Monitor database Servers and their usage and capacity to minimize problems and outages.
Define, develop, implement, and maintain the process involved in database administration, maintenance, security, backup, and recovery.
Proactively works with technical support, communications support, and vendors to resolve problems.
Works to expand knowledge of banking and workgroup software and to maintain technological currency in network, Mainframe, Client Server, and Internet/Intranet platforms.
We are seeking talented individuals with the following qualifications:
College/Business/Technical degree preferred
3 or more years of experience with database maintenance and configuration
Technical knowledge of SQL server required.
Proven technical abilities, demonstrated leadership, business expertise
Excellent analytical, and communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
