Accomplished cellular immunologist who will make substantial contributions to the conception and execution new therapeutic approaches to autoimmune diseases in a highly collaborative environment. A primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to develop and execute research strategies aimed at identifying and validating targets for small molecule and protein therapeutics through preclinical proof-of-concept. He/She will be responsible for collaborating to generate stage-gate appropriate in vitro / cellular / in vivo data packages supporting PoC. The candidate will leverage expertise to develop and implement research to gain a detailed mechanistic understanding of the molecular pharmacology of project compounds. In addition, it is expected that the candidate will utilize his/her expertise to generate internal and external collaborations as necessary to further program goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the immunology ADC program in a multidisciplinary research team in an exciting, fast-paced team environment.
PhD and post-doctoral experience or equivalent in molecular / cell biology or related field with significant research experience as demonstrated by track record of publications and scientific accomplishments is required. Strong scientific expertise in immune cell biology (T/Bcell / Myeloid / Dendritic cell) in relation to human autoimmune disease desired. Detailed understanding of disease pathophysiology of Crohn’s Disease, Psoraisis or SLE (lupus) highly desired. Detailed knowledge of the molecular approaches for application to cellular biology studies and ability to utilize such tools and approaches for mechanism-of-action studies needed. Experience developing and advancing small molecule and/or biologic therapeutics a plus. Highly developed leadership and communication skills and keen ability to engage internal and external scientific leaders in collaborative research.
