PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
1. Lead a team of technicians aiming to develop,
maintain, and provide expertise in rodent PK/PD biomarker studies
and conceptual inflammation models.
2. Establish PK/PD and conceptual inflammation models
querying disease mechanisms, clinical readouts, and complex
biomarkers translatable to patients. Build database of reference
treatments in disease models.
3. Proficient in technologies useful in biomarker
determination including flow cytometry, QPCR, luminex, ELISA
4. Propose, execute, and present results of innovative
experiments. Provide written and oral presentations of results to
members of the immunology group and project teams. Provide
decision-enabling pharmacological data supporting the advancement
of discovery projects from DPLO to DP1.
5. Contribute to the recognition of Merck Serono as a
global player in the field of Immunology by scientific
6. Serve on internal discovery project teams as team
member. Support in-licensing efforts and contribute to Due
Diligence upon request.
