One of our key principles is that "revenue is our oxygen" and to that end we are adding several roles to our science group that will focus on building and improving advertising systems across the company.
Work closely with our ad systems group to analyze and model complex advertising data.
Design and develop solutions for increasing yield on a rich inventory of ads.
Analyze and develop key mechanisms in the revenue pipeline addressing questions around pricing and inventory forecasting.
Participate in cross-functional revenue projects and initiatives.
Extensive proficiency with one or more of the following: R, Python (scientific libraries), Matlab, or equivalent.
Graduate degree in a quantitative field with working knowledge of computer science.
Proficiency in a programming language: Python, Java, C/C++, or Ruby.
Working familiarity with with Hadoop (Map/Reduce), Hive, or Pig.
Minimum of three years (Sr. Scientist) experience or Internship / Industry projects (Scientist) with:
Large scale applications of machine learning & statistical techniques.
Analysis and development of advertising systems for online consumer products or services.
Proficiency in Python and/or Java.
Proficiency with Hadoop, Hive, or Pig (or proprietary equivalents).
Track record of successful team work in a variety of settings.
Strong communication skills.
