GXS is conducting an aggressive search in the NYC Metro
area for a Senior Pre-Sales Consultant with experience
in Financial Verticals.

Overview:
Working closely with the sales team, the Senior
Pre-Sales Consultant facilitates GXS business and
revenue goals by providing consistent, high quality
pre-sales technical support and assistance to banking,
investment firms, insurance, capital markets, securities
and fund services clients in the NYC Metro area.
By leading the technical qualification, opportunity
assessment, solution-design and proposal phases of the
sales process, the Senior Pre-Sales Consultant provides
input into the qualification of prospects and the
creation of business strategies to secure the win for
GXS.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver written solution proposals and
presentations to clients including responses to
RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
  • Develop clients' business case for the recommended
solution as appropriate.
  • Provide business process and technical leadership
and expertise.
  • Develop and deliver written solution proposals and
presentations to customers including responses to
RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
  • Analyze requirements and develop customers' business
case for the recommended solution as appropriate.
  • Develop and architect detailed solutions that solve
business problems.
  • Create and deliver demonstrations, presentations
and/or prototypes which map features/benefits of GXS
to specific business and technical needs.
  • Work with sales in getting answers to questions and
resolving technical issues.
  • Serve as liaison between GXS sales and solution
delivery.
  • Maintain solid knowledge of GXS solutions and
capabilities to facilitate sales efforts.
  • Maintain technical, market and industry knowledge
specifically as it relates to B2B integration with
packaged applications.
  • Communicate with GXS on competitive information and
provide feedback to product marketing

Requirements for Maximum Success:
  • Excellent customer service, oral and written
communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, presentation and
organizational skills.
  • Independent, self-starter with excellent matrix
management skills.
  • Ability to master a broad range of expertise ranging
from understanding the business process to
collecting and analyzing business and technical
requirements.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • A team-player attitude and a 'Can do Spirit'.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Power Point.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,
related field or equivalent years of experience 6 to
8 years of sales experience, especially selling
technology and related professional services to
regional and global financial enterprises.
  • 5 + years in software development or pre-sales with
proven ability to understand and analyze prospect's
needs and identify, develop and present appropriate
solutions.
  • Experience in services model on a global basis that
includes: up-front implementation, service level
agreements, data center operations, on-going
customer management and change management.
  • Experience developing and presenting clear and
concise product briefings
