Student Systems Management in the Division of Enrollment Management at West Virginia University is seeking to hire a Senior Systems Developer (Professional Technologist 4.49). Student Systems Management is responsible for the administration and management of the University’s student information system, including numerous integrated and interfaced systems, which provide mission-critical services to faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni and vendors. This position manages a team of developers focused on delivering business value to Financial Aid, Facilities Scheduling, the Office of Student Accounts, and the Office of the University Registrar.
Candidates should have extensive experience using Oracle databases. Proven experience using multiple programming languages is required; specific experience with PRO *C, PL/SQL and Java is preferred. Proven experience developing complex web applications is required; experience developing HTML5 -based mobile applications is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent field of study is preferred. The candidate will also possess 2 years experience leading or supervising a team of IT professionals; 3 years experience planning complex projects; 3 years experience collaborating with business units to provide IT services; and 5 years experience designing, programming, deploying and supporting applications for an enterprise system with multiple integrated systems.
