Serves as IT Leader & process expert for Corporate ERP Simplification R2R (Record to Report) functional area. Establishes and manages client relationships, assisting in planning IT initiatives. Responsible for program budgets, resource allocation and planning to ensure delivery of business benefits. Responsible for people management activities including development, performance management, distribution of work assignments and inter / intra team issue resolution.
As a member of the CIS Corporate Finance IT leadership team, candidate will lead all facets of Information Technology team supporting the Corporate Operations ERP Simplification efforts.
In this role, a candidate should have in-depth technical expertise in Financial Systems including deep ERP Financials experience, excellent business skills, especially in the areas of influencing, change facilitation, conflict resolution and communication.
Candidate will lead the multi-generation implementation of Corporate ERP / GL’s in partnership with the Financial Systems Functional Team. This person will also support the monthly, quarterly and annual close cycle. Candidate will be accountable for delivery excellence of assigned programs / projects, with duties including project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, execution and closure for all work related to the Corporate ERP Simplification efforts.
Key responsibilities are:
Serve as solution delivery expert for the design and implementation of assigned financial application areas including ERP’s solutions
Work as a Business Partner with finance leaders and users to evaluate and improve business processes and arrive at mutual, cost effective solutions
Lead an IT team of employees and contractors that partner with the business to develop and execute a multi-generation plan for ERP / GL Corporate Simplification
Manages budget and contracts associated with programs and initiatives. Contributes to the SII process to ensure proper resource allocations
Manages activities of project team resources to support and deliver solutions relating to the programs and initiatives
Creates and maintains effective working relationships with peers and vendors to seamlessly integrate the program area into the overall strategic objectives and activities of the organization
Coordinates program support activities, including the development of internal and external communications, establishing roadmaps and benchmarks, and developing training plans
Maintain up to date knowledge of technology trends and standards and work as a partner to promote their use
Lead in the evaluation and implementation of third party software solutions
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or other technical / IT field
Minimum 7 years of experience in Information Technology delivering high impact ERP and technology solutions
Minimum 3 years of experience leading direct reports
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience with financial systems and processes, specifically consolidation, planning, estimating, and reporting systems
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience with large Enterprise Application implementations
Global travel required

Black Belt or Green Belt certified
IMLP and / or CAS graduate
Strong knowledge of financial systems, GE financial cycles and processes
Experience with Oracle Financials (i.e. EBS and Hyperion)
Experience with CAP (Change Acceleration Process)
Previous Sarbanes-Oxley experience
Excellent project management skills
Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
